MORE LOVE

During prayer this past Sunday, the song “More Love, More Power” by Michael W. Smith popped into my head. I haven’t heard that song since I was a kid growing up in the Assemblies of God church! But there it was—looping in my heart and stirring something in me.

So I asked God, “Why this song?”

As I’ve been growing in my faith—through daily Scripture, through real, godly mentors-I ’m starting to see things differently. One thing that keeps coming into focus is the power we now have access to through Jesus. Not power for selfish gain or recognition, but the kind of power that glorifies God by working through us. Resurrection power. Spirit-filled power.

It’s not about me getting power—it's about the power of Jesus living through me.

And that’s my prayer for you too:
That you fall deeply in love with King Jesus.
That you ask for more of the Holy Spirit in your life, by dying to self and letting Him shine through.
That you walk in faith, in love, and in the kind of authority that reflects Him.

I long to see a community of believers here in Beaver Dam who are so filled with love, so strong in faith, and so empowered by the Spirit that the world can’t help but notice. I want people to say, “There’s something holy happening here. Something set apart. Something uncommon. And I want to be part of it.”

So here’s my challenge for you:
Get alone with God.
Ask Him for more of His love.
Ask Him for more of His power.
Ask Him to use you.

And when He does—tell me your story. I want to celebrate what God is doing with you and through you.

Ephesians 1:19-20

"...and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead..." (ESV)

This passage is incredible. It says the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work in us.

2 Peter 1:3

“His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.” (ESV)

We’re not lacking—His power equips us completely.

Acts 1:8

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses...” (ESV)

This verse is a cornerstone for any conversation about how the Holy Spirit empowers us.

Romans 8:11

“If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.” (ESV)

This is about resurrection power—literal and spiritual—already active in believers.

2 Corinthians 4:7

“But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.” (ESV)

God works through our weakness, so the power is clearly His.
