Beaver Dam Mission Center Launches Back-to-School Shoe Giveaway to Serve Local Kids in Need
June 23rd 2025 | Beaver Dam, WI— The Beaver Dam Mission Center (BDMC) is launching its first-ever Back-to-School Shoe Giveaway to provide 200 school-aged children in Beaver Dam with brand-new shoes and Bibles—just in time for the new school year.
The event will take place on Saturday, August 16, 2025, in partnership with Shoe Sensation of Beaver Dam, who will host the in-store event and provide an additional 10% discount to stretch donor contributions even further.
This outreach is not just about shoes—it’s about hope.
“We want every child to walk into school with confidence,” says Jennifer Wilson, Board President of BDMC. “But more than that, we want families in crisis to know they’re seen, loved, and not alone. Our goal is to meet a practical need while sharing the love of Jesus.”
Through generous sponsorships of $50 per child, BDMC will equip each registered child with:
A new pair of shoes of their choice
A new pair of socks of their choice
A youth Bible
A personal note of encouragement from the donor, business, or church that sponsored their pair
The campaign is currently in Phase 1: Fundraising and Sponsorships. Community members, businesses, and churches are invited to sponsor children now by visiting

100% of donated funds for this campaign go directly to the purchase of shoes. BDMC covers all operational and marketing costs separately.
Families in need will be invited to register beginning July 28, with priority given to those on free/reduced lunch programs or experiencing financial hardship. Churches and organizations are also encouraged to discreetly refer families who may be blessed by this gift.
“This isn’t about handouts,” says Jesse Wilson, BDMC’s Executive Director. “It’s about walking alongside people and meeting them with compassion, dignity, and the gospel of Jesus Christ.”
The Beaver Dam Mission Center is a local faith-based nonprofit with a mission to serve the hurting through practical care, gospel-centered outreach, and Christlike love.
