Spring 2026

Mid-May Ministry Update

I look around at the flowers, the trees, and the animals playing in the field. I feel the warmth of the sun and watch the fluffy, cotton-candy clouds pass by with grace. I sit in the grass at night and watch the bright stars flicker across the sky.

And I’m reminded again of how small I am — and how big, good, and faithful our God is.

“For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.” — Romans 1:20

This is a shorter update for May. My day job requires me to travel a lot in the spring, and if I’m honest, it’s easy for me to get lost in work, busyness, and the constant motion of life. Lately, I’ve been deep in prayer, asking the Lord to help me find joy again in prayer, Scripture, and quiet time with Him.

“Lord, help me enjoy reading Your Word. Help me enjoy being alone with You again. Help me to humble myself and get out of my own way.”

At the same time, the phone doesn’t stop ringing. Jesus told us we would always have the poor with us, and we continue to see that reality right here in our own community. There are brothers and sisters around us who simply need love, support, prayer, and someone willing to answer the call.

And honestly, serving in this way brings me joy! It is one of the ways I worship God.

As always, I believe in transparency — transparency in my own walk with Jesus, transparency in the trials we face, and transparency in this ministry that my wife and I have been so blessed to help lead and serve through.

January–May 2026 By the Numbers

So far in 2026, Beaver Dam Mission Center has received $7,500 in donations.

What a blessing.

Here is where those funds have gone:

Administrative costs: $1,200
Primarily website hosting, Google phone numbers, and CPA support.

Hotel stays and hotel vouchers: $4,200
Helping individuals and families in crisis have a safe place to stay.

Crisis support outside of hotel stays: $1,500
Helping with practical needs as they arise.

One of the things that continues to amaze me is how God provides. So many times, we receive a donation, and then shortly after, a request comes in for almost that exact amount. I don’t believe that is random. I believe God continues to put people in our path, and then He provides through others so we can respond.

It has been incredible to watch.

As Executive Director, my goal is simple: to give back as much as God gives us. Our volunteers are not paid. I am not paid. We serve because Jesus first served us. We give because God has given so much to us.

We are not here to get rich.
We are not here to build our name.
We are here to serve Jesus, love people, and give back what God has placed in our hands.

And by His grace, that is exactly what we will keep doing.

Let us not love with words and speech but with Actions and in TRUTH! - 1 John 3:18
